A grease trap is a Containment system specifically Engineered to prevent F.O.G. (fats, oils, grease) from being introduced to sewer system. A grease  trap has Specially designed walls to keep most of the F.O.G. in one side of tank, and then has pipe baffles to keep F.O.G. from escaping the tank, or coming back into restaurant. If the F.O.G. were to enter the sewer system it could do permenant damage to the pumps, sewer mains, and to equipment used to treat other waste in the system. All restaurants are required by law  to have a grease trap installed. Typically there are two different types of Grease Traps Large in ground tanks placed outside, or small Grease Trap tanks inside building usually underneath a counter or sink. Keeping your grease trap serviced is crucial. Here at Hulsey Environmental we ensure the stability of your grease traps with top notch service. The pumping schedule is typically determined by volume of F.O.G. produced and is generally regulated by law.
