What work goes into repairing or replacing a leaking pipe?
In almost all cases, some excavation or demolition will be necessary to uncover the section of damaged pipe that needs to be repaired. The material that the broken pipe is made of will also play an important factor in how it will be repaired. Copper pipes will need to be cut and soldered or “crimped”, with special fittings and tools that create a seal by squeezing.
In all cases, water is shut off only for the period of time necessary to complete the repair on your leaking pipe.
